As I said a couple of weeks ago that David in Ingham was sending me an Inline Coolant Sensor for a trial , well I recieved it in the mail when I returned from the last job, On Sunday I cut the new top Radiator hose as per the instructions except for the removal of the 17mm and fitted the sensor , I then cut positive going to the old sensor, and cut off the excess on the new one and just joined it, connected the Earth to the body , tested it before topping up with water and again after the top up and it works fine, took about 3/4 of an hour between 2 cuppa's of coffee and interruptions from inquisitive neighbours. Of course the full unit would take a bit longer than my 3/4 as I already had the beeper and LED installed inside the cab from the first installment,
When I get back from this next job I will put the Instruction sheet up on the web

Doug,
Been promising to buy one of them thingies for yonks . Maybe your post will get my idle arse into gear.
On a not dissimilar note,we got home from the 4000 k Easter trip (Hassle free, apart from those wanton western Winton flies) and headed off to town this morning.., Ah uh, dead battery.
Hooked up the solar panel direct to battery, noticed that one cell wasn't gassing, and figured 'so what? battery is 5 yo, it's lost a cell. Time to replace, anyway.
30 mins later, disconnect panel, and she cranks over like new.
Replaced battery (under warranty), and took dead baby (10.8v) home, and have applied charger . When I find that pesky Megapulse, I'll hook that up also : just in case.
Travel safe, you two. Jeff.

Thanks for the report Doug.....I'm expecting my in-line section to arrive in the next day or so and will be getting it installed (retro-fitted) as part of a complete radiator overhaul.

It certainly provides piece of mind, having the device installed and hearing that little tell-tale "check beep" everytime you turn on the ignition.
