On thursday morning on our way to Chichester
State Forest we called into the tyre dealer and fitted some Nangang Mudstars to the Disco, at $160ea/$800 for five fitted it was hard to knock back.
600Ks on they have performed very
well on and offroad.
Although this morning we found a rivet in the right rear.
Baz.

What's a "Nangang Mudstar"? Sounds like it could be irritating.

That's alright then.
Was about to be somewhat insulted, having ride referred to as a Paj.

Gday
I have NAN KANG tyres on my Nissan and they are still going
well after 9000k..Not enough work done off road , except for a run in
the desert at New Year.
The one with the rivet must be the "Snow Tyre"

Must have picked it up on the way to work, it's sticking into the side of the tyre right were the tread starts :-(
Thet are very quiet for an M/T.

Have Mudstars on a GU 285/75/16 done 15000kms and can't measure any difference in tread depth to the new one on the spare, probably about 70% on the tar and excellent in the bush, have gone
places in 2wd that had trouble going in 4wd with the old bridgies.
Cheers RosscoH.

I did do some research on these tyres and came across an old tyre report on MUD tyres, it was an artical to what was the best M/T in all conditions and the Nangang faired very
well up against all the
well known brands.
Also i asked around and i'm yet to here anything bad about them, so i thought even if they don't last or perform as
well as the other major brands at $160 ea who can argue, they are basicly half the price of Coopers, BFG muds and MTRs.
I got the 235/85/16, 32s, compared to my Coopers they are streets ahead in how quiet they are and on road handling.

I think if you have a look back into the family tree of Nankang Tyres you will find a very close relationship to Yokohama. A lot of disontinued Yokohamas are rebirthed with Nankang Branded side walls. And Hey, I drive a Paj as
well.
