Ive read somewhere in the (coleman hot water- search) but so many questions i thought i'd just ask again..
I was at my block over the weekend and the Upper
Goulburn River has turned a muddy colour over the last month or so,The Jamieson is quite clean though, was almost crystal clear late Jan, i guess from Knockwood/Gaffneys Creek Area/
A1 Mine Settlement...I'm sure thats where the
Goulburn Starts Inland...
Anyway It does not take long to go through the collaspsable plastic container they supply with unit (first time ive used it)..Now can i get water from the river and use those purifying tablets,or just collect the water and let setiment fall to the bottom of containers.
I had limited space in car and went into Jamieson and bought the 10 litres of water..Dont want to do that too often !
Oh and the trout are biting,Delatite River hav been producing 4 pounders, ppl said they saw a few big trout jumping in the river on my block.
Cheers Guys

We have used river water and stream water for ours. We let the sediment settle or the sand settle in one container then slowly pour the water into the other container and not use the last of the water. We dont use the water bag that comes with the unit we just drop the pump into the bucket of wate, topping up if needed while shower is in use.
We never use ours for making tea and coffee so dont use purifing tablets as that would be the only reason I could see to use them.
Cheers

Agree the only reason I believe they say the water must be of good quality is people use the unit to make beverages.
