Hi All,
Thanks to all that responded to my post # 43937 in regards to a new Video camera.
I ended up with the one I asked about (Sony HDD 60GB) but I didn't get it from Bing Lee as I decided to
shop around and eventually got one at Clive Peters.
It was interesting that it only comes standard with 12 months warranty, so I upgraded to 5 years with the latest model as a replacement if is bleep s itself within the 5 years.
I got the Sony additional battery and slimline carry bag as
well.
All up it cost $1250.00 which I reckon is a pretty good deal as they are RRP at $1500 plus $160 for the case and battery. The upgrade of the warranty was $139
Now SWMBO is happy as now it is her early Birthday present LOL
I had to justify it somehow :)
Will keep you posted as to how
well it works and how easy it is to download and edit the footage as per some of the concerns with my previous post.
Hope you all have a great Long Weekend for
Easter
and
please have a couple of beers or Bundy's for me as I'm on the dry until after my big day on the table, Just don't drive afterwards OK
Cheers Kev

Hey sorry my post was probably a bit late on your thread, but glad you got something your happy with, and that it's a Sony! The one you got is really compact too, so you never have a reason not to take it with you and miss any good filming oportunities.

The carry bag that we got was one that has a belt clip and being an ideas man I have just thought that when I'm using the camera, the carry bag would hold a Bundy can. So that is one versatile piece of equipment :)
Never again will I lose my drink.
Cheers Kev
