Sad time. I remember having my first (illicit) beer at 13, listening to MOST PEOPLE I KNOW THINK THAT I'M CRAZY!!!

Rest in peace Billy. A fantastic musician.

Certainly been a crap 12 months for our heroes hasn't it.....
R.I.P. BILLY

This one really was a shock to everyone....
Just watched his last performance on the Today Show from a couple of months ago, you wouldn't have thought it was possible he could have a heart attack. He just looked so well and fit for a, still rocking, survivor of the Sixties.

Yeah R.I.P Billy

No one is immortal, and when you cross over into the 6th decade of your life it becomes more real, and you may start to wonder "How long before"?

Cheers

Spot on Willem.

You start going to funerals of mates or watching 'em slowly waste away of some horrible disease. Then you start saying to yourself - "It's my turn in the barrel soon, best enjoy it now eh!"

Take care,

Bilbo - "The elderly hobbit"

Will always remember seeing Billy and his band the Aztecs playing at the Wodonga town hall as they were on a road trip on the way to Sunbury , another gone too young , getting to be one magic band "Shirl" is calling up.

Lived hard, died young.

That is the sad way of too many muscicians.

Bon Scott, John Bonham, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, Elvis Presley etc etc.

I guess it's the industry.

Still, they had their choices in life.

RIP Billy,

Funny that as I was sitting here listening to one of his albums, I think, I am sure there would be a post on EO, and there was!

Hard rocker, leader, inspiration to many of the aussie singers of the 70's and on...sad loss.
