Evening all,
Have done the usual 3 day trips from
Sydney!!
I have been given 4 days off next week and I am looking for something that would be fun for the duration.
Any suggestions?
Cheers

1 vote for abercrombie river, lots of interesting
places to
camp... make sure you have plenty of day light to drive around and
check it all out.
Little further south is Bendethra, which is just AWESOME...!

Like both of them very much. Have you been down in the Snowies?

Thanks Rob. Is there any camping spots out of the way by a river?
Cheers

Mungo/Willandra/
Kinchega Nat Pks - not a lot of 4wd-ing but worth seeing
Warrumbungles?
Werrikembe?
A road that goes from near (I think) Ellerston (near
Scone) to Barry (near
Nundle) is quite entertaining - I used to have an NRMA map that showed it as navigable for 2wds - took a motorbike up it years ago, it was a challenge. Then on my honeymoon when I (without wheels at the time) had the use of my bro-in-laws Range Rover I did it again and while it was a doddle, the
suspension certainly got a workout...Anyway, from there you could head up to
Walcha, stay at Tia or
Apsley Falls and come
home thru
Dingo tops...
