Recently purchased a Navara ST-X 2.5TD and am very happy with it, except for the poor headlights. Reading through a few of the threads I see this has been mentioned before, but from what I can see no-one has proposed any solutions. Has anyone got any thoughts on relatively quick/easy/cheap solutions, other than bolting on spot lights.

I had the same issue and changed the standard elements to 100W ones. Made a big difference from the 65W. Cheers.

Have you melted the plastic lens yet ?

I have a 2003 Navara and got these poly-carbonite lens's, and thay are good and tough, but they cannot take the heat given off by a 100 watt globe
I use Philips Blue Vision ,,,,,Seem the best so far

I do agree that the Navara lights are rubbish. Probably developed by some nucklehead that does not drive at night ....They are all show, and have no real purpose in life, other than strain the heck out of your eyes when driving

C'mon Nissan get your act together, your headlights are crap !

Pity there is not an adapter kit to put the good old Commodore Glass ones in.
My old VP run 440 watts of white light up front , thats 4x 110 philips LL globes on high beam ,,
I spend $43,000 and get rubbish lights,, ( equivalent to the old Beatle lights )
Disappointed !

Cheers Mate

Safe bet is to use the +50 range of globes (mix of halogen and xenon gas), cheap too. I've found them to be good. The ARB "Fat Boys" are similar but physically bigger I believe and get good responses. Expensive though.

I had a similar problem with mine and complained to the dealer. They adjusted them as they were set too low. They are much better now and a set of Lightforce 170s also helps :) in the bush.
cheers
