Anyone know the condition of the
Blue Rag Range area .. ie was it affected at all by the bushfires?

Drew,
FWIW, Blue Rag was burned out in the '03 busfires. I went to the top of Blue Rag a couple of months after the '03 fires and was astounded at the difference from a previous visit.
There was signs of regrowth just starting to show through on that '03 visit.
I haven't been able to go back since.
Cheers

Forgot to mention; that even though the area was burned out, it was still a great drive. The view from the top, although having a different ambience, was still pretty speccy.
IMHO if you can actually get there, it is still
well worth the trip up even though you may be surrounded by bushfire aftermath.
Cheers

Hi Drew
Haven't been there this season and calling
Ranger at
dargo is probably way to go.
I suspect a trip up there would be worth it anyway now that
dargo high plains is open.
I suspect that Blue rag is open, or should be partly because a close look at 7/2/7 fires map shows that the fire basically went out when it meet the fire boundry from 2003 fires.
Based on this the first part of Blue rag to the trig point would be driveable, but going down to river may be out.
