I noticed Toyo introduced the Open Country M/T just a few months ago now. Did a search but got nothing. Toyo haven't had much of a wrap on EO but I was interested in whether anyone had tried these yet?

jdpatrol,
carnt comment on the M/T but I do have a set of the A/T's for my tar work and they are actually pretty good. This is the first time I have opted for the Toyo's on any of my 4by's, as I have always been a Hankook fan, but the Toyo A/T's hang on really
well. I have given these a fair bashing on desert sand and some pretty bad gravel roads (wet and dry) and they are pretty good.

I have a set of Toyo Opat A/T's sitting in the backyard. They were dead set useless in muddy conditions. They'll go back on the car when I sell it.
If, and I say if, their M/T's are the same quality as their A/T's, they are probably a useful road tyre.

I rang a dealer to get a price out of curiosity and almost fell back on my ass. $390 each for 265/75x16 !!!!
Can they be serious? Then again, if you win the Baja 1000 on these tyres you can sort of ask what you want eh?

Gees I didn't know they won that. One article about I just found said tyre had been around since 2004 so there might be more info about the tyre from elsewhere, but then again at $390, who cares!
