We are arriving in Brissie early March to buy an older troopy or other cruiser (max $10k), so far I am finding the best selection of vehicles appear to be on tradingpost.com.au, while carsales.com.au is more expensive probably because its more dealers. ebay.com.au has a only a few vehicles and obviously the odd 1 on this
forum and 4wdoverland
forum. Anywhere else I should be looking. When does the paper edition of the trading post come out - does the electronic version have a publishing delay - are all ads on the online or do you have to pay extra for that ?

Hi Lis and Paul,
I often have a browse through Carpoint to see what is happening in the market.
See www.carpoint.com.au and
check the used car market.
Cheers Mark

You can also try carsguide.news.com.au/ (has car specs built into ads). Or www.drive.com.au/Buy/
Good luck.

HEya,
I think from memory this is the one I used - site has malfunction at the moment, but will work itself out.
www.ebroadcast.com.au/ecars/
I bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee from a
SYdney guy, I live in
Perth and was working FIFO in Karatha at the time - was really happy with the cars on there. Bought the Jeep end Nov 05 - it was a 2000 WG Grand CHerro, first registered in 2001, 65k on the clock, never been offroad, all the goodies on it I wanted and black for 29.5k, when new they went for 78k - and a lot of the exact same ones at the time were more like 40-45k in
Perth at the time. All it took was a mechanic report and bought it before seeing it.
Was
well worth the Fly over & drive back on R&R - SE
Melbourne to
Perth in 48 hours (bought a Roadrunner Sportstrailer in
melbourne off ebay as
well) and stopped through to get that.
and I just love my Jeep :-P
Good luck with it
Cheers
Graeme

Be aware of warranty conditions when buying interstate. Recently purchased a second hand vehicle in
Brisbane while I was there and traveled back to WA. Had a few minor dramas along the way but warranty conditions state vehicle must be returned to dealer for repairs. Despite the fact dealer knew I was travelling and said "he would look after me" I had to pay for repairs out of my own pocket. So be aware if you are travelling once you leave dealers yard they don"t give a Rats about you. If you want the name of this dealer in Slacks Creek
Brisbane contact me.
