Hi to all,

Can any one tell me if there is a negative side to keeping the intercooler thermo fan on my 2.8 TD GU Patrol running all the time?
I have never seen the thing run, even after going in for a look after some hard work in the sand hills.
If I disconnect the electrical coupling at the thermocouple the fan runs constantly.

Also,
I am after response from any one who has blocked off the EGR valve opn a 2.8, to see what they have experienced, positive or negative.
I have seen that it can reduce the turbo lag at low RPM's.

Cheers

Hi

I have put a fan on my 3litre GU that runs continually with no ill effect. The only negative I could see is you are drawing approximatly 4 amps continually. This is not a big current draw.
