I have a GARMIN GPS map 76, and im looking for an external receiver, prefferably a small bullbar mounted one. I have seen them, lil white half dome, about 2" diameter. Anyone know where i can get one from? Online?
Cheers

www.gpsoz.com.au should know - I've used them and quite happy with the service (free postage too) - I bought an external for my Garmin 60 - much smaller than the domes - not much bigger than a matchbox - works very
well up on the roof rack.

Ring up Johnny Appleseed GPS on 1800 477 477. I got one for my GPSMAP60. It is a small magnetic type one that works real
well.

There are plenty around. I use a magnetic mount one (active aerial) on my Garmin 76 and sit it just above the headlamp, run the cable into
the gap between bonnet and guard and up through the fire wall.

You don't need an external aerial. An internal is just as good and not likely to get flogged. Sure it doesn't look as posey however it will do the job.
Have a look at GPS OZ I paid about $69.00 for
mine including cable, plug and mounting hardware.

i got an external antenna for my Map76 and have it mounted, using velcro on the dash mat at base of windscreen, at least it won't get flogged or damaged
