Hope someone can help me out here. I have a freind who owns a Garmin Quest. I remember seeing on here at some time about a site online that you can get tracks/routes that have been loaded up by other garmin owners. Anyone know the URL? Thanks

Don't know if this is exactly what you are referring to or not, but if you go to GPS OZ SITE LINK you can read all about Tracks4Australia and even download a copy. I have a Garmin, use it on
mine, it's great and more detailed than the standard map.

Not sure what tracks you want but Garmin maps have so much more than than some others , like for instance it has the
border track Vic/SA about 254klm of it from near Bordertown to the Sturt Hwy , and you can
check it out on Google Earth.
The turn off is 12.8 klm east of Bordertown.
Garmin Mapsource also has all the tracks in the Forests around
Perth

I forgot to say I have some tracks saved , what area are you after , because with mapsource you can make your own right at
home on your PC then upload them into the GPS , If you don't have the software I can make a route for you and put it on my web site for you to download , just give me the roads / tracks you want here

Hi Doug,
Thanks for the info, if you read above the information is actually for a customer of
mine (buy PC parts from us) and I believe the main tracks he is after are from Dangalie, Cooltong Area through towards
Terowie or
Broken Hill via back roads.
I may suggest he gets Oziexplorer and can plot his own and transfer to the GPS.
Cheers

Yeh that's ok , I wasn't thinking straight last night , was tired and after I made the post I was thinking to myself ..... If I make a track or Route for them, and they download it from my web site , thyre going to need to have Garmin Mapsource to use it therefore , if that have Mapsource they could make thier own routes , just bloody common sense and I loose
mine when I get tired,
Doug
