Have just read an article in March edition of "Silicon Chip" magazine, about LED's as replacements for incandescent globes in vehicles. Describes high mount brake light, bayonet, wedge and festoon types, with parts available at Jaycar, Dick Smith and Oatley Electronics.
Similar to LED units that George from Geocities website has available. Now you can get out that old soldering iron, crack a green can, and get into production. Hooroo...

I think I'll go and get this magazine..
I have 2 old 5" driving light bodies and reflectors. I often wondered how to go about putting in LED's and use them as
camp lights.
