Info for those that are interested.
Had a Nissan Navara come in on Monday with a wine in the turbo.
Could have sworn it was a turbo bearing gone. Started to pull it off for overhaul/replacement and found the bolts that hold the impeller housing to the main bearing body of the turbo, one bolt gone, one half out and screwed out by fingers, one finger tight and the other loose. Tightened them up and re-installed. No more noise. Saved the customer the $1490.00 for a new one or about $850.00 for an over haul.
So moral of the story is if you get a wine, remove the heat shield from your turbo and inspect the retaining bolts on the inlet side.
Cheers

Evening 120scruiser
Had a similar thing with my Jackaroo, cept it was exhaust mainfold bolts. . . . . sounded like SWMBO whining, but not quite as loud! LOL
Cheers

By the way, the old Jack has done 300,000 so I can forgive it for wanting some attention.
