Superwinch x9 Any Good?

Hi to all
I have been offered a second hand x9 superwinch.I would like to hear if they are any good or not worth fitting up.

One of the best.

Around $1200 retail.

If you can get it in good condition at a good price go for it.

The winch is about 12 mths old and he wants $500.00.It was fitted to a new L-Cruiser

Very strong winch but are not very water proof.Was told this by an ARB mechanic,are built internally stronger than a warn but are prone to failure if dunked under water.
Later when we bought our Cruiser it had one fitted as genuine item and guess what,internally it was stuffed due to water ingress.Luckily the one thing Toyota has covered with there so called warranty was this,fully rebuilt for zilch.
I thought they were about $1800

Hi:

i have had one for 5 years now on my last cruiser and transplanted it onto the new one... excellent winch. has been submerged many times without problem ....
