Depends on the age of the vehicle, engine fitted and the equipment level of the vehicle in question. Early 1hz had a 75 or 80 amp alt, later ones had a 100 amp and later again had 110 amp.
A Sahara will have a higher output alt than a
barn door base model due to all the electric crap fitted.
Have absolutely no knowledge of the petrol motors.

was looking at putting a "100 amp" solenoid in my vehicle for dual battery setup, and wondered if it was up to the job

Does anyone know how many amps from, say, a 110amp alternator would go into charging the battery? It would be useful to be able to work how much driving you need to do to to replace X amp/hours drained by a car fridge overnight.
