I'm afraid 'The Decision' is going to have to be made sooner rather than later - do I:
a) Keep my current 1990 SWB Pajero and pay >$1000 to get whatever is wrong with 5th gear repaired
b) Sell it to a gullible salesperson, and buy a similar sized or smaller 4wd
c) Sell it to a gullible salesperson, and buy something just that bit bigger, to allow me to legally tow a horse float (1500kg) when the time comes - around 12 months away
d) Sell it to a gullible salesperson, and buy something wee until I find my ideal vehicle
With this in mind, I ask: What is the towing capacity of a SWB Patrol (late 80's, early 90's)?
Any other productive comments would be appreciated...

if your talking petrol shortys, 20/100 is the "economy".. thats without towing.
Look around for something cheap to drive around in for next 12 mths, then only use the shorty when needed.
