As per the West Australian on Saturday, Gull has started selling 80/20 in Perth.

Needing a top up, I put 40 litres into my main tank, paid $1.33l, 3 cents less a litre than normal diesel and drove off, not expecting to notice any difference and went and collected 3 new filters, just in case.

What has suprised me given the low blend of bioD in the 80/20 mix - and given there was already 50l of my normal fuel which consists of all sorts of interesting things - I was surprised to notice much less thump of smoke on start up common on the 12HT engine.

Others will make their own judgement of whether or not they want to take up this initiative, and I'm already right into alternative fuels, but for those that want to give it a go here in Perth - now you have your opportunity.
