Steve,
There is a
bush campsite adjacent to yards on E side of track, approx 10kms in (North) from Merty Merty on old Strez Track.

Steven, By all means
camp but it's not even a day's trip. I just checked the track I saved from my GPS on our last trip up there. We left
Innamincka at 2.52pm and arrived at
Cameron Corner at 5.44pm. It's only 141.4 km and we went on to
Tibooburra for tea (a bit late but the pub was still serving meals when we got there.
I would say there are numerous
places to
camp on the way but none anywhere near as nice as on
Cooper Creek at
Innamincka. Oh and by the way if it rains you'll have to
camp wherever you can find a spot as the roads become impassable - we got through before rain but friends a day behind us were camped were camped on the track for over 30 hours! Great country!!! Have fun!!

I second that Mick. I would also
camp on the Cooper Ck at
Innamincka where
Bourke died. Its near the water (if there is still any in there) and nice and flat.
Regards
Slunnie

Just like to say thanks for the info. Planning on going out there in August. So I'm getting as much info as I can at the moment. I like to have a rough idea what I'm in for
