Hi Folks,

Just a quick one on taking your dogs away.
We spent christmas and new year at www.bestfriend.net.au
We could not have picked a a better place , a nice crowd of folks and hospitality that exceded our wildest dreams (being invited to christmas lunch and a fantastic new years eve bash all on the hosts) The entire site partyed untill 2am on NYE ..

Highly recomend the place.

Well I'm not afraid of disclosing the fact that I'm not quite as young as I used to be (grin)

But we did have a great time, and a few people did look a little "tired and emotional" the next day...

Just getting back into camping at 60ish can be fun!

Geez, now I have seen it all....lol

I am afraid that my spoilt mate would just make herself at home.

Best I keep her out bush or she will expect it all the time

Hi Willem,

We put our dog into the day kennels as we wanted to go into the national park (Tara Bulga) .. in the kennels are a leather armchair (for the dog) and pictures on the wall and a DVD player with 1001 dalmations to keep your "best friend" entertained...

Now with a setup like that you dont mind when your misses sends you to the "dog house" (grin)

What a great idea. Its a shame there aren't more places like that around. We've so far found Queensland the most difficult place to travel and camp with dogs.

Hope more places pop-up.
