I have been trying to get a snorkel for my challenger, now before anybody says 'get real' , it's a tough little unit that goes everywhere I need it to go. I have been told by the big guys that it is not possible. On a recent trip through Gympie I saw a challenger with an Airtec snorkel fitted, but not finding the driver around was unable to ask him who fitted it. Anybody got any ideas ?

I could be wrong here but I seem to remember some one saying they are based on the Triton... This being the case, perhaps a Triton snorkel could be adapted...

Happy to stand corrected, just a thought...

thanks Blue, someone did tell me the challenger is built on the triton chassis, would be interested to know if there is any aftermarket fabricators in brisbane that might do the job, the 'big boys' don't seem interested

Hi Pauldo,

Here is a unique idea...........Try the search function on Exploroz.

A search of "Challenger and snorkel" brought up a heap of posts on the topic. Suggest that Post ID 13734 and 15697 will tell you what you want to know.

Camper you would not believe how many times I have been scoffed at for being off road in the challenger, there are however a few more educated 4wders out there now who have been pulled out a nasty spot by a challenger ( mine is stock ), plenty of future mods planned.

I heard there is a mob down your way by the name of goannawhere that stock snorkels for challengers

Hi Pauldo,
Best to just ignore the critics and do our own thing, I reckon.
As far as the Goannawhere store is concerned I thought I saw them once on Main Nth Rd. but I can't find them in the phone book. I'll keep searching and let you know if I can find them.

I rang them today and a Challa snorkel is available @ $299 with $30 freight.

G'Day Guys,

I just want to support your oppinion about the Challenger.I lease cars through work and only sold my Challenger last year, it was a great vehicle.

There is a good web site to check out called Montero Sports Online http://www.monterosportonline.com/ you will find useful information there.

I have a photo of my old Challenger on there website, have a look http://www.monterosportonline.com/pic45.html

Good luck and don't put up with people saying that a Challenger is a real challenge, tell them it is hardly a challenge.

Carl
