Question for the owners of framed tents.

Okay, I have had my Black Wolf Turbo 300 for 18 months now, but have never had to pack it away wet. This coming weekend is going to be.... wet, and I'll be breaking camp under periods of rain.

Now, as well as being soooo excited, I am wondering how I will dry my tent at home.

Being a fully framed tent, I don't have the luxury of simply draping it over the lines under the big verandah.

I do have a really, really big driveway, like really big, and it's all bitumen. Do I pitch it on that, and and leave it for a day, in the sun, and hope that the floor has also dried out? It is too large to prop the corners up on blocks ( 3000 x 3000 ), so I am concerned with the floor, sort of...

So, tell me, just how long CAN you leave a wet tent in a bag, before you get some dry days to air it out? I was thinking maybe 2 or 3???

I have a similar problem but mine is a small backyard( less for Belinda to mow) but a large tent. The way I dry out the tent is I hang it up on the side of the house thats faces north.
I have put some hooks in to the brick work and hand it from the rings that are in the base of the tent.
Tents don't like being packed away wet, even for a short time.
I hope this might give you some food for thought.

I always like to get it out and dry asap.

If you open the bag and it smells, it's a doing damage. I would imagine that would be the case after a day or 2 at this time of year.

Even if the weather is bad it is better off out of the bag and spread out.

I am not familiar with the Turbo 300 but can you open it up and hang it under your big verandah upside down. I have doen this with a hike tent upside down in the garage and it worked well, even if it was a little hard to achieve.

I'll pray for sunshine while your packing up.
