hello everyone...can anyone help me with info regarding camping around the cararang station area, Ive rang the number that Sparra gave me (thank you) but I think Ive left it to late and there is no answer.
I'm planning on going up that way after xmas and would like to
camp at or near cararang station....any help would be greatly apreciated.
Marlon.

Marlon,
I was at
Steep Point last week. There were ample
camp sites an the beaches but very few at 'the fault line' despite the fact that very few fish were being caught.
The track is in good condition but there are 3 sandy hills to climb. They wont present any major challenges but you must lower tyre pressures soon after the Useless Loop turnoff and note, the
ranger has the authority to fine you $25 if you don't.
We had 30-40knot winds constantly, which is usual for this time of year. Try the link
http://www.steeppoint.com.au/permit.htm for further information.
Regards,
