Pajman Pete (SA)
Opened the mail this afternoon and found out I have made a gilt edge, non-refundable investment in the Victorian Government.
Yup caught speeding. I wouldn't be so wound up if I hadn't had the GPS on the dash the whole trip with the co-pilot spotting speed signs.
Got zapped at the 110 to 100 kmh change as you come off the Western Freeway at Brewster outside
Ballarat on the way
home to SA. 6 kmh over. Welcome to Victoria!
I will have to be even more careful when we come over at Christmas time. If it wasn't for family commitments I would cancel the trip.
Still with the high cost of fuel another $131 on the trip doesn't seem so bad.
Cheers
Pete

There is always the WA option. Tape up the front number Plate with a Nice sign that reads F***You, don a KKK hood and drive parts the thing at 120k/ph. LMAO

Like the bundy bear. I knew a guy who did that in Mallo ute, got booked got cranky took the plates of and went through doing 200kmh plus several times. The cops matched up the stickers on the car with the original fine and number plate. He was booked for all offenses and lost his license for two years. Dumb ass.

Tell 'em, that you are from another country, and Australia should pander & provide, for ALL nationalities, and have road signs in all sorts of different languages. Hell, they do on the main road up to
Alice Springs, those big yellow signs, saying about cows 'n' stuff. Beats me, we give 'em licences to drive on our roads, but we gotta make the signs in their language???
It seems to me, that motorists in this country are simply cash cows for both federal & state governments.
A true story... I was asleep in the back of my van, whilst my brother was driving us both back to
Adelaide from
Melbourne one night. We got a TIN, stating we were over the limit at Horsham. My brother WROTE back saying... sorry, but I have no money, I have no job, I don't draw the dole, so you may as
well come here and arrest me now, and I'll gladly do the time. He was quite serious, he lives like no other person I know, but gets along very
well.
They waived the fine...
I just love a happy ending...

Exploder,
The weather radar on an aircraft vs police radar argument will get you laughed out of court. Completely diffrerent power levels, and the dosage you'd get from the coppers' radar is miniscule compared to standing in front of the radome with it running.
Most of the Coneheads I know have kids too ;)

Yeah I know, I was speeding. But I was sooooo careful the whole trip with the cruise control punched in, GPS etc etc, but just too slow to wipe of 10 k's going past the sign.
Ah
well, it's all part of life's rich pageant.
Cheers

Bracksie is your nanny Brew, if you are in Victoria. He nags us every day and has to appear on every TV news shot to remind us it is all for our own good. The new games
pool tonight. No wonder we are grumpy and football isn't the reason. Just think how many times the fines go out to Victorians to try to make criminals out of us.

Thoroughly cheesed off when I got done last year in
Perth. Was driving a rented Patrol for someone else. Was used to my own GU reading 3km/h fast at 80k, and what do I get - one that reads 3km/h slow. So sitting on an indicated 84km/h (thinking I was doing 81) as I entered the Polly Pipe, got zapped for 87. Was puzzled when I saw the flash. Confirmed this the following day when I fitted a gps and discovered the truth, then later when I received the ticket. Bummer!
