Hi all
Cant they carry a few basic items, at these servos? .Apart from bake beans and chocalates. Went to three at 6.30 am this morning desperate for a 19 mm hose clamp .Had water leak on 4by at thermo housing tried tightening clamp , guess what it broke . Re cut hose and fitted ,Then ol mate took me god knows how far to find a bl....dy clamp. Only travelling local on central coast.

Don't you have a toolbox with a couple of hose clamps buried down the bottom of it ?
I thought all 4by owners carried almost everything they needed all the time.

That's why they are no longer called service stations, but convenience stores, and some even sell fuel!! Solution? Carry some spares, and don't use those el cheapo hose clamps that snap when more than finger tight.

Axel,
If the only size that they have is too small then joining two together will get you out of trouble, that is if they carry them at all.

As a temp I've used wire and a few twist to get me out of trouble, always good to have some in the vechicle, always comes in handy.
