Hi all this is my first post and need some advice.

I have got a Nissan Navara 2004 Model and need some decent tyres for it to get me into the high country in winter for hunting. I wont be doing any full on 4wd.
I was looking at the bridgestone D673 M/T with 15' Sunraysia rims.

I havent got alot of money to spend otherwise i would put BFG on so please keep that in mind.

Stones have soft sidewalls.

What size are you looking at? What is yor budget?

I'd go MTRs... they good all round, had no probs with mine up there in Winter.

Most MT's are good in larger sizes, but in smaller sizes the smaller MT's arent as good as the treadblocks are closer together.

Possibly look on outerlimits4x4.com for some cheap user MT's of a better format, like simex's or similar.

Like derrr..I did realize he meant Bridgestones..
But it just amazes me with statements like that..
"Bridgestones have soft sidewalls"- compared to what...a very generic sweeping statement...
I would venture to say the 693/694 have a stronger sidewall than the wanky Coopers and even MTRs

No Im not joking.
Ive wheeled with 3 people with B'stone MT's and 3 times (I dont expect you to believe me) someone has done a sidewall. Ive seen it happen myself.
Stronger than MTR? Stronger than Coopers maybe... Ask Crazie. LMAO

I'd go MTR's.
Just did 8500km trip in the Prado flinders, the rock, Chambers Pillar, Gunbarrell, Gahn Simpson Innamincka Corner country. Tyres still look good and hardly even any signs of wear. Very happy.
My second choice was Dunlop MT2's. Good looking tyre and good looking specs.
If budget is a concern I would
TRY THESE JUST CLICK ON ELDORADO
Another one to look at is Jetzone Tyres.
Try post 27665 and 28335 for more info.
Cheers

If you are on a budget try Firestone Firehawk RMTs. I put them on after vowing that I would never spend big tyre dollars again after my experiences with Cooper STs, & for around $175.00 each they give excellent bang for your buck. Most of the mine vehicles here in the Latrobe Valley, (VIC.) are now using them, that is what gave me the idea to try them.
I can also honestly say, that I have not had any of the problems with the RMTs that I had with the Coopers!
