Well done Outback Mac
I went through the same process a couple of months back.
I had an ARB winch bar fitted and it has inbuilt recovery points so I didn't need to worry anymore.
Just on another note what sort of fuel economy like.
I got 16.1 litres per 100 on a recent simpson trip which I thought was pretty good considering it only had 3500 km on it and it was loaded with mtr tyres.
I am now getting 17.1 litres per 100 around town with standard tyres, ecb roof rack unoladed, drawers and
water tank unloaded.
I would be interested to see what yours is getting.
BTW
mine is diesel auto as
well

G'Day 120's. Mate I have just brought a 120 Prado TDI (Auto) and after the first tank (3/4 used) I avereged 11.7 l/110K around town. Car went in for its 1000k first service yesterday and I have to say it's a great car to drive. Might be the way you drive it, getting that economy or it might need an adjustment. Cheers

Thanks
Nobby.
I posted the question on LCOOL yahoo group and consensus is between 11litres per 100 to 13litre per 100.
Its booked into Windsor Toyota on Tuesday and they are going to scan fault codes and do a
test drive with the computer diagnostics installed and that gives a complete readout of whats going on. Will be interesting to read the results.
I checked the fuel filter today, clean as a whistle and so is the air filter so will wait until Tuesday.
Thanks for your
feedback.

MAc,
I'm in QLD so no point me trying to contact the blokes in Moorabin. Just out of curiosity, whit did you get and what did it cost. I'm keen to set my 120 up a l;ittle better fr recovery. Not that I plan on getting stuck, but I do plan on going
places where it's a fair chance.
Stan, i think blokes like yourself (those that give good advice freely) are absolute champions. You help the rest of us relative newbs to get on the right track. There was always a point where all of us knew nothing. Nice to see some people contribute and share their knowledge..
CHEERS

Try your local TJM store.
I know the one in Penrith stocks recovery points for the Prado.
You do have to remove the radiator to drill and bolt the mounts.
Well worth it though.

Glad to help. Just make sure that you also join LCOOL forums as most of the
things/mods/etc to do with the 120 Prado has been covered there...
Cheers
