Hi guys and gals , just went through a speaker up grade in the 100. What started as a 1hr job , turned into a midnight run. The problems i had were.... The genuine speakers come in the own case that bolt to the door , if you purchase the same size , they sit to far in and hit the window. OK you say, just get a spacer , WELL, not so easy. The spacer isn't wide enough to meet the inner door panel to screw it on. SO .. the verdict. Take the original speakers , cut away the inner plastic , remove the outer cone with a screw driver . slightly grind the lip so the new speaker sits in . solder 2 wires to the speaker and pass them through the wire cut outs and attach the new assembly to the door . looks like the standard set up and works great. I know it might be a bit of a boring read for some , just hoping to save some Panadeine fort to some who may wish to do the upgrade .

Big thank you to No Limit for the tips allong the way .

Eric,
Don't forget to put extra insulation between the roof panel and the hood lining to stop the heat killing the NESA screen!

G'Day Eric,

no worries, have just heard some stories of expensive electronics dying very quickly during an Aussie summer.

How much lift will this one have?
