Hi all,
I am researching a GPS unit for my 4bie, I would like be able to use it as a normal around town GPS unit and also be able to use it to run a program called Ozi Explorer, I have had some info that some of the units that are PDA's/GPS units can run Ozi Explorer program.
The unit I am looking at is the Mio 168, it is a PDA and GPS combined running Win CE.
Is there anyone out there that has done this so far?
Thanks,

I haven't done this but other users who are members of the yahoo group OziusersCE have.
Perhaps join the group on Yahoo and ask over there.

I don't think it was difficult though.

Greetings Ben

As suggested look at the CE group. Ozi Explorer CE requires that you own a copy of Oziexplorer.

In relation to your Mio preference do some digging in relation to the units quality of importers support . My info is not positive in this area. The units themselves are well made by a reputable manufacturer.

Have a look at the Johnny Appleseed site and the OziExplorer site.

Do some search on this site using the keywords GPS PDA as an example. This subject was discussed recently here.

Regards

Paul

G'day Ben. After much research, I purchased a Garmin Quest. The majority of my driving is in greater metro area with some/occasonial trips into the bush. Works WELL under both conditions. Reliable, great maps, auto routing with voice prompting (if required), easy to use, affordable, connects easily to computer etc. So far IT hasn't managed to get me lost !!
