Hi all, anybody got any clues as to where I can purchase 2 electric fans for the front of the air con condensor. Can't be any bigger than 10 inch in diameter and about 1 inch thickness, not much room behind grille. Got one off a V6 4 runner and wont fit between grille. Have rang around and can only get davis graig which I know are a great brand but over $100 for each one. I dont know why they dont fit electric fans on diesels but they do to all petrol engines for the air con. Cooling system looks the same eg clutch fan etc dont know if any body can give a reason. Went to get air gassed up and air con bloke told me to get an electric fan as gas is getting to hot on a hot day when sitting in traffic as the clutch fans dont cool the condensor enough. He said he comes across this alot with diesel vehicles that are fitted with clutch fans only. I live in the penrith area nsw if any boby could lead me in the right direction for a couple of fans would be appreciated. Regards Steve M

Hi there Nudenut looked on heatcrafts web site dont have the fans for cars, and tried a few auto elects/air con shops seams thay are dearer than the spare part shops for the same thing.Looks might I might have to pay the $$$ for them, dont really care about the brand as long as they pump the air through. Good question although there on petrol vehicles, suppose I can switch the air off to be on the safe side, if I can get a fan, might have to pull some $$$$ out of the wallet and buy a new one for $100 not haven any luck trying to find any cheap ones brand new. Regards steve

Why not try a wreckers yard? They seem to have 100's hanging around for only a few dollars.

Try an importer, they cant give them away. maybe Just Japanese at Lansvale. They are usually left on the radiators if scrapping.
