What do you want to know about cruise control?

I have a Command AP150 I fitted myself and works like magic.

Suggest you phone Command direct in Sydney to find out all you need, as there are few out there that really know what cruise control and all the fittings needed. Ask for Graham/Graeme in the Technical section, and tell him what type of vehicle, model, engine etc, and he will give all the correct part numbers to the sales department. The AP150 basic kit should be around the $300.00 mark incl GST. The extras to fit your speedo etc. could come to another $100 max.

Sounds like just the ticket. Is the unit accurate and if not, then to what extent? Are the components of a quality construction and material? Was it difficult to fit up yourself?
Thanks

No, it was not at all difficult to fit, however, it did take me a fair bit of time to ensure it was all neat and tidy and properly done. It is important to mount the vacuum unit properly and in a good place to ensure the cable has a good clean path without any kinks or extreme bends. This is not difficult as the cable is of sufficient length. In my case, I mounted it on the opposite side of the fuel pump on the top of the guard on the drivers side. I will post some pictures on my website tomorrow for you and will post back with the URL.

When you say 'accurate' do you mean retains the correct speed once set. If that is what you mean, yes it does.

I wanted the proper speedo drive unit, and not the magnets on the tailshaft/driveshaft and all up, cost me $346.00.

Yes, the base model is from memory an AP50 and the next unit up is the AP60 which I would consider the minimum, and they are about $200.00.

I guess it only the base model but it performs faultlessly

Wow, I would fit them all day for that price. $845.00 fitted, must make it something special.

This may be the electric unit with the steering wheel controls. For that amount of money, would be interesting to see what they are offering.

For that price, i would expect to sit in the back of the car, and sleep, while someone else drove...!

Yea crazy, but typical of car makers cashing in.. Send out a $0.10c flyer to all GU owners, and clean up with $700 profit per unit, which it would be buying in bulk!

Im on the wrong planet.
