Bought myself a Twine shower to fit a 2004 Nissan Patrol Intercooled Turbo Deisel but find that Nissan have fitted the ABS where the Heat Exchange Unit & pump would normally go.
Has anybody worked a way around this problem, i.e. types of brackets that will stand a hammering on corrugated roads.
I have a Dual Battery system so any spare room appears to disapeared.

Thanks

They don't have to mount in the engine bay. You could mount it in a protected area on the chassis rail.

Johno, not sure where the ABS system is, but I installed ours on the firewall using the originally equipment Nissan heater hoses, just one reversed onto the in-firewall fitting. I sort of thought the ABS is where I have my compressor. I can take a piccy if you really needed it..........

The ABS pipework now sits where the Shower used to go on both the fire wall & the original pump placement positions

I mate of mine at the same problem. I cant see him at the moment but he had the guys at Taren Point Service Center make up a bracket for it. Seemed pretty solid and I know it has survived a few trips, including the Cape.

If you are interested just give them a call - Mike is probably the one to ask

Have a look at the link below, this shows several shower set ups in 4.2 GUs.

Hope this helps.

MInes not a Diesel , but its a 4.5 Petrol with ABS (GU Ti).

Mine is mounted on the firewall with customer brackets.

It can also be seen on Grungles website.

If you dont have a winch and have an original steel bull bar you can mount it on the removable plate bolted to the base of the bull bar between the chassis rails, in front of the radiator... Michael

Got mine under the ARB bull and also have warn 9000lb winch, i had an extra large one made as the first one was not hot enough at 1500rpm we have 4.8 petrol and was told that they run a little cooler anyway works great where it is and as i say its about another third longer than the standard one

Funny that.

I was told the petrols run a heck of a lot hotter (for shower purposes) then the diesels.

Mine is a 4.5 Petrol.

I was told when trying to fit mine , that the longer the heater hoses required the colder the water will be . . . ie shorter the better.

End of day . . . doesn't matter , sounds like you have a workable solution regardless.
