Has anyone any experience with the "Tunit" devices being marketed by Berrioma Diesel, and which are claimed to enhance the performance of EFI diesel engines.

Jim
I don't have any experience with them, however that is the unit that was recommended to me for the Fender ... if I decided to go that way.

G'Day Rosco,
If you really wanted to up the power, there is a guy in
Ballarat, (Vic), who deals with all this sort of stuff, would be able to point you in the right direction for someone in Qld to help.
By the way, his 130 TD5 reportedly puts out around 175Kw.
Regards
Rolande

Hi
Have heard bad things about these particular jiggers....speak to "Go offroad"
The APS/Safari/ARB one is worth the money and doesnt stuff up your motor.

I've only heard good things about these. My mate had one fitted recently by ARB and I want to get one now for my 100 series.
They work like a dtronic but are adjustable if you want and fit after the ECU so they wont cause any damage to the engine. There's a good article on tuning devices at

The thing to watch with these tunits and dtronics etc; is some "self adjust" in line with the ECU so the the right amount of fuel is pumped into the cylinders, and others just pump extra fuel "blindly" which can cause overheating, holed pistons etc:
In other words, some can think like an ECU.
Some just pump in extra fuel whether its good for the motor or not.
