Hi all,
While browsing the SA caravan and camping show 3 weeks ago we stopped to LOOK at a Cub Supamatic Escape off road, as a matter of interest, but no we are not in the market for a camper trailer !!!!!!!
Well one thing led to another and woohoo, guess what ? We are the proud owners of a Cub off road camper trailer. It will be affectionatly known as:
NAN and POP'S CUBBY and we hope we get to play in it all over this great land for the next 30 years.
We have done several w/end trips already including Murray Sunset and are very pleased with it , it suites our lifestyle, and with a few mods will be personalised to our needs.
Did a quick search on EO but came up nearly empty, so hope there are not too many bad stories about these units LOL
So if you see us around the traps give us a shout!

Cheers Pesty and Mrs. Cubby

Hey Pesty,
welcome to the Cub owners. Not a bad unit with a few mods, relocated the spare to under back end and made up an aluminium box across the front with slide for the fridge. Resealed the entire underside with silastic to keep the dust out, pretty good now. Reinforced the spring hangers and made bushes for the shockies (as none were fitted). A few other little bits that you pick up as you go. Did a trip up central (east) Qld to the Gulf and back through western Qld & the corner country last Sept and no probs. Hope you have a lot of fun and happy camping.

Nan & Pop......

Wow, how time flies!

I am nearly 50, and some days I really feel it, but my head is still somewhere back in the 70's.

I can't wait till my kids have kids of their own......... payback......

Gonna fill the little buggers up with chocolate & red cordial 1/2 an hour before they are due to be picked up by their parents!

Gonna tell 'em ALL about what their parents were like, really give 'em heaps......

Gonna take 'em camping, and teach them, hopefully, how to appreciate the....... other side of life, animals, trees, dirt, etc......

Unfortunately, my kids grew up a little too sterile, and are preoccupied with computers etc.

Hi Wolfie,
Dont forget we are all the same age, hahahaha.
We have been taking grandson camping since he was about 18 months, he is now 3 1/2 so he is well seasoned and his parents go camping too.
The new one is only 5 months but he wont be long and he will go with us too, we love it.
We dont use red cordial to wind them up we use fresh air and clean dirt ! LOL
Catch up shortly
Cheers
