Hi Greendog
I mapped the Mt Gill Track for EO.
Yes there are lots of rocks as you drive along creekbeds to get to the jump up. But I wouldnt say they are sharp. There is one sharp climb over rocks but just idle it out in low range and you will be right. The biggest problem on the trek may be with overhanging tree branches. The track isnt such a challenge but it is slow going and the 35km takes around 6 hours, as I recall. Definitely worth the scenery and the driving.

G'day Wolfie
I flew in to
Adelaide on Thursday evening and then we drove
home arriving here at 10pm. Still pretty jetlagged and trying to get the sleep patterns reorganised again(hence this early hour).
There certainly weren't any Dull Moments and one experience was watching the scenery go by as my driver spoke on a mobile phone while clocking 190kmh in a 120 zone...and not wearing a seatbelt!. Those guys just dont give a stuff about anything...but then again, he is a Cop and just flashes his badge if pulled up.
