After seeing the new ARB rear step and sahara bullbar for the Tojo 100 at the Melb 4WD Show I have ordered same. Fantastic rear step set-up with easy release wheel carrier, etc. The bullbar looks great also.
I have the ARB old bullbar, side steps and Kaymar rear step on the old girl at the moment. They are two-pack painted silver. 18 months old with some scratches.
As the new gear will not be delivered until Feb-March next year I will be selling the old setup until then.
However; if any Formites are interested in taking them of my hands before I put them on the "Trader' section ( at a price to be negotiated) let me know.

Hi Parso ,
On the Sahara bull bar -
check out the frills ie black plastic trim bet. bar & panelwork , holds dirt & wears your paint work . Saw one touch far side of
embankment & on reversing promptly tore centrs fancy trim off . Poss. OK if you dont stray off the black IMHO .

Hi
Have to agree. I have a 2003 100TD with ARB sahara bar, plastic trim vibrated off on trip to Alice from
Adelaide via Oddnadatta and Old Ghan tracks, before that it wore the paint off where red dust (sand) crept under the trim and corregations did the rest.
ARB replaced black plastic trim under warranty and basically reinstalled the bar. Much better job than the original installation (also by them) but not happy with the damage to the paintwork.
As for the centre piece at base of the bar, lost that at the Teddy Bear picnic at
Murray Bridge (SA). $55 replacement. Caused by the bar protruding too far from the front of the 100 IMO (or maybe it was my driving skills ;-(( Have a look at the TJM T3 (I think) equivalent and note the difference.
Overall, ARB have been great in regards to replacing the trim but I would not buy the sahara bar again. Looks great but limits off road ability (significantly). Their stnd bar looks a better option ot the TJM.

Hi Parso ,
I got a flash ARB colour coded bull bar for my 100 TD and I found out after I had it installed that to fit it , they had to remove the front recovery hook , and I was left with nowhere to anchor for a forward recovery .
I spat the dummy to ARB senior management and they suddenly "found a way " of putting a different hook on for me .
Another bummer with the bar was that it had no hi lift jack attachment point .
Check it out ,
Willie

Parso,
When you say the new arb rear bar, do you mean ARB now make their own (ie different to the Kaymar), if so I look forward to checking it out. Too bad I have already kitted out my cruiser with Kaymar etc. The new b/bar you refer to is it the normal style deluxe bar with the fog light inserts.

The new bar has the fog light inserts; but it now has jacking points, etc.
A much better bar the the early model.
I think they have fixed the earlier problems with the trim falling off.

I fitted my 04 cruiser with the new arb deluxe bar in March this year, (not sahara bar) which now has the fog light inserts and the high lift jack points. it looks great and works
well with the jack. These bars don't have the plastic trim to fall off like the sahara bar.
As for the rear bar, do arb now make their own ????? I have the Kaymar setup on
mine. One thing I discovered with the Kaymar was after a trip covering a lot of gravel / gibber tracks the stones deflected off the rear wheels, breaking the lenses on the tail lights. I have since taken the original mud flaps off and made a longer / wider set with re-inforced rubber sheeting which will fix this problem.

The new ARB rear step looks a real winner.
It has a quick release mechanism for the wheel carrier and has gas strut assist.
The closing system is even better; it requires only two/three finger and has a 'snap shut'.
I could not believe how good it was! LOL
At the 4W4 show I said my wife could kiss ARB for this as she drives the vehicle daily and has trouble closing the rear wheel and jerry can holder. (I play with it on weekends.)
Apparently it took six months to develop and their is no doubt that ARB wanted their own, rather than Kaymar.
They will not be delivered until Feb/March next year and I would expect as rush.
