Hello, i am in the process off getting my patrol GU ready for the works but i just thought the 35 inch spare wont fit on the rear wheel bracket, are there replacment brackets that will hold 35's.

Also will the extra weight of the 35 inch tyre affect the rear door on the patrol?

Thank you.

Kaymar have a wheel spacer that bolts in the same place that will allow you to mount a 35" tyre. I paid about $85 for mine.

Lots of people just run them with flat, then inflate when needed.

More weight will always affect the hinge life on any car..

Is that why they run them flat?

yes, the tire itself is narrower with no air in it. most people have compressors these days so its no issue.

I thought you let the tire down cause the 'air' is too heavy!

The rear door wheel mounting bracket can be raised by about 50mm. There are additional mount holes located on the bracket for this very need.
