Anyone else getting spurious links that open EOT? I've had words such as
well, rock and information appearing as links that in turn open EOT
places.

I think that has always been the case Warren.

Maybe, perhaps I hadn't really followed a link for a simple word before, in this case I thought someone had inserted a link to a relevant website and followed it. I know it's always been the case for actual place names, but for simple words I hadn't really noticed.

In the message body, the word is underlined indicating a link.

Ah yes. It is because of a simplicity of the EO system. In "Places" a title becomes a link so if the title containing, say, "rock" then you type rock in a thread it presents as a link. Bloody nuisance as it highlights words with an underline and confuses the message.
EDIT: See? I did not underline the word (rock) above. EO did!
