Hi - any thoughts on towing 16ft van from Orbost to
Delegate
via C612. I know it will be windy and slow but is it too narrow
for safe travel.
cheers,

I found the short 2km bit just outside
Delegate heading North-South was the worst. There's one bit that's downhill, corrugated, off camber and generally horrible. I did it twice in 3 weeks and both times I thought I was gonna stack. The second time I was ready for it, had a lighter bike, better rubber and it still bleep ed me up.
The 11km bit in the middle is easier but still fairly shit. I was managing about 40-50kmh through it. If they ever seal those sections then it'll be possibly the best stretch of motorcycle road in Australia. The fun of all the good bits more than outweighs the suffering on the dirt. Only the
Omeo Highway from Mitta to
Omeo compares to this imho. Maybe the Alpine Way Khanchoban to
Jindabyne. And possibly the Eildon Jamieson Road if you do a U-turn at the Jamieson end and head straight back to Eildon to make it over a 100km of hardcore twisties.

"If they ever seal those sections then it'll be possibly the best stretch of motorcycle road in Australia."
Are we talking about the same road? It was all sealed a year ago. It is the best section of motorcycle road, or would be if not for all that forest litter on it, which would be a significant bike
hazard.
