Hi,

Is their a way of sharing a proposed trip with users to get some feedback and suggestions then apply them and re-share ?

Cheers

PS the reason for asking:
I am proposing an E-W trip Brisbane - Steep Point then back via top end.
Am I going to run into any limitations with ExploreOz on doing this as one Trek/Trip ?

.
Saturday (or Sunday) seems never a good time to ask questions Mark. I dunno where they all go but they do go.
But the most usual way to ask such a question is just as you did…. ask it here on the forum where members are constantly viewing and hopefully responding.

Asking "Am I going to run into any limitations with ExploreOz….." is ambiguous. This IS Exploroz….. well at last least the Forum room. I am sure that you mean "EO Traveller", the mapping app.
Seems a few cannot get this distinction and it may be the fault of the naming …. "Exploroz Traveller" but Traveller is what it is called and may be more definitive if that name is the one used.

I cannot answer your specific question as I am not a frequent 'Traveller' user but I'm sure someone will pop up….. maybe after the weekend?
Cheers

There are others who might answer your question, but your proposed trek seems like you are going well anyway. Hope you have lots of time , as there's plenty to see.

Cheers

Hi,

I have used Wikicamps app a little bit and planned similar route but have now been an ExploreOz convert so have migrated my proposed trip into it.

I have broken it down into an E-W trip from Brisbane to Steep Point and allowed 30 Days then a W-E Trip Steep Point to Brisbane.

It is easy to share your Trip lanners on Wikicamps so looking for similar with ExploreOZ.

The Developers sometimes get a little upset when you start comparing with other apps so not sure which way to go.

I assume it is a little harder to SHARE trips with ExploreOz app.

I believe that you can make a trek with practically any number of waypoints/destinations, it just gets a bit unwieldy. I think Michelle's advice is to break it down into smaller sections. I don't use the app for navigation as such, more as a planning tool. I them load the trek and just use the app like an electronic map that shows how I'm tracking. I'm pretty good with directions and navigation and apart from when I'm in an unfamiliar busy city tend to just look at a route on the map and that is all that I need, so I may be a bit of an outlier in my use of EOT.
Now to the first part of your post, as far as sharing goes I'm pretty sure that has been asked before an no you can't. You can only share a logged trip, eg as a gpx file. You may be able to share a trip poi's with other EOT users. The manual probably covers this.

Mark. Do you mean "Advise" or "Advice". Don't they mean different concepts?
