90 mile Beach camping

I’m considering camping on the 90mile beach in Victoria, between Honeysuckles and Golden beach.
Has any member driven down the beach and camped.

Regards
Andreas

Hi Andreas S,

I am pretty sure it is illegal to drive on Victoria’s 90 Mile beach. In fact, I am pretty sure it is illegal to drive on any beach in Victoria.

That's correct to my knowledge as well. There's no legal beach driving from south of Sydney in NSW all the way down to and through all of Victoria. You have to go to South Australia where beach driving didn't require a permit last I was there. North of Sydney and through Queensland has wonderful beach driving but usually requires permits.

National Park camping in off road west of Golden Beach between Golden Beach and Honeysuckles. No vehicle access to beach, camp sites probably need booking at this time of year, most have deep hole “dunnies”, in among tee-tree so high potential for mozzies.
Beach has bad undertow
