Yes of course "it continues" and for good reason.
There was a time when this site (
forum and all) struggled to make an income for David & Michelle. Then David hit the Jackpot with the Traveller App. At last there was decent income.
Now Traveller is rather comprehensive and can cause some confusion for Dodos who have not realised there is a Help Desk or even that there is more to Exploroz than a
forum. They want to be spoon fed so they just bleat their problems on the
forum and
well meaning members display their superior knowledge by responding rather than referring them to the Help Desk.
So why doesn't David & Michelle do something to direct these enquires to the Help Desk?
Simple, every time someone puts up a post asking for assistance
Exploroz Traveller gets a mention on the site. Anyone with advertising knowhow will tell you that the first rule of advertising is BRAND EXPOSURE……. get the product name in front of the punter's eyes as often as you possibly can.
So don't expect any changes anytime soon.
What D&M may be overlooking is that there is a kicker…… each of these "mentions" is an appeal for assistance with a product that is not providing expected performance….. not a real good look for the product. It can appear to have flaws or at the very least be too complex for the average Dodo.
