How can it be legal if the raising of the body is now MORE THAN 50mm higher? Nice of the modifying people to tell you all involved BEFORE the event. C=The Cert says it is legal, but is it?
Aldi sell those folding plastic stools which can be on a cord. Jump in and pull up the stairs!
There is no reason a suspension upgrade HAS TO raise the vehicle much at all. Suitable springs should keep it much the same height if required. The CofG is now way higher too. Not a good thing in reality, especially if carrying a load of cargo, limp or live!
I imagine you will notice the body roll unless the springs are also very stiff.

One of the reasons it is 2.5 inches higher could be because of sag in the original springs. I believe this is fairly common in 4wds with factory suspension.
So you may not be illegal if the you measure the current height against the factory specifications.
My parter is also fairly short and had problems getting into the my lifted Dmax, side steps helped a lot. She was able to step up onto the side step and then climb into the cab.

As Batt's said, ask the people that did it. I found that any changes to certified setup will make it void, but they may have a option.? Another option, at more expense, is something like the OCAM Power Boards Electric Side Steps which can extend down and retract again.

Get some Clearview Power Boards installed.

These used to be the only ones with 3 mounting points but I see the Ocams, mentioned above, have 3 too. They also appear to be a better price, but not by much.

My wife had a similar problem after I had a suspension upgrade and lift installed. I knew she would, so when the upgrade was being installed, I added fixed side steps at the same time. Whilst they did help at first, her “mobility” has deteriorated, and we used to carry a plastic step on a string for her to use to get into the vehicle. I have now had Clearview Power Boards installed. Probably one of the best “add on” accessories I have fitted, we no longer need the plastic step. Around $1,500 fitted I think, I would have to check the receipt to be sure.
