Hi Guys,

Went on a drive yesterday through the bush in my area, had fun with some hill climbs and creek crossings but thats another story, I found a particular track that appears on the map but actually hasnt been used in a very long time, fully grown over and impassable.

Is it possible to mark this road as unused or remove it, and put on the map the new replacement track that does exist for others to see?

It would help if you told Michelle and David the location of this "road".

cheers

In answer to your question, yes it can be done. I have done this in the past by providing David/Michelle as much detail as possible. This included road name / location including map co-ordinates. Also a track log is very helpful.

David & Michelle are the map makers and they could fix it.

Do they make the maps or just the program that displays it? There are literally thousands of roads on here that dont exist or are private farm roads

Ivan yes we make the maps (EOTopo) and the program that displays it ( the Traveller app). Private roads and tracks are still roads and valid and disused/overgrown tracks may also still be valid at diff times of year, in diff seasons etc and are all part of our ongoing track reviews every tear when we update EOTopo and release a new edition. We are continually reviewing and verifying the data and conducting Australia field research and using feedback from app users (such as dropping pins as explained in my answer).

Yes sure can -,Just drop a pin to create a place - put in your observations (title and description) and make it an ExplorOz (public) place. We will get the alert and can deal with it from there. Too easy.
thanks

Troy, If you "knew" that then why did you not ask them directly via the Traveller Help Desk Support in the first place?
Cheers

Allan

I’m glad Troy didn’t ask via the help desk, because now I also know.
