I'm looking into buying a caravan soon and want to carry
mine and my sons motorbikes
And am wondering if anyone has carried x2 bikes on there caravans?

Apart from creating stability issues, they will be wrecked by the dirt and grit..
Get a motorhome and tow an enclosed trailer.
Cheers,

I would suggest you look at a van that is designed for it like the
Jayco Basestation Toy Hauler.
Trying to carry them externally on A frame or rear bumper is a recipe for disaster when something goes wrong which is more than likely to happen.
This type of van is designed for exactly what you want to do.

As mentioned toy hauler it would be the most practical for motor bike and your riding gear plus all sorts of gear fishing rods etc all locked away securely.
