Here's a screenshot of what happens when you use our referral link and add the item to your cart.

The link to the CarLinkKit TBox product is here (required for enabling your CarPlay or Android Auto headunit to access all Android apps including ExplorOz Traveller). Please note the buying options - there is a 4GB RAM + 64GB storage option or an 8GB RAM + 128GB option. Also check you select the model for "Other Countries" (not the US model).

We've also put this discount link on our updated Traveller webpage documentation in a new CarPlay section. Updated Traveller documentation.

PS: Not only have we got a discount on the AI box adapter for the full Android TBox, we have a link with the same discount off the full range of CarLinkKit products. This might be attractive to those of you that have a couple of vehicles and might like to get the more simple gadgets they offer such as wireless CarPlay adapters if not not requiring the full AI Box adapter.

Does anyone run this in their car and can comment on how it works? My car has a 7" screen.

I purchased the Carlinkit TBOX 3.0 for use in my 2021 Prado and after initially working OK for a few minutes it then stopped connecting and my phone kept asking me to enter the password to access the secure folder. When I ignored the request it just kept searching endlessly for android auto.

Despite this I'm still keen and am waiting for a refund before trying again as I suspect I either received a faulty unit, or it was something I did. Asking for a refund was easier than trying to deal with tech support offered by the on-seller which I believe is not the same supplier in this case.

My one turned the other day, thank you for the discount. I have it all working except that I have not been able to connect to the internet with a Telstra data sim card, the unit knows that the card is installed but it will not connect to the net. Looking for any help in regard to this . Thank you in advanceJohn.

I had a similar problem on a Teyes android head unit in my Landcruiser. The problem was that the head unit didn’t support all the bands(frequency) for Telstra. Different mobile towers use different frequencies(bands). My local tower wasn’t covered by the head unit, it would show as present but didn’t connect to internet. If I travelled to nearest town that used a different band on its tower it would work. From memory it related to Band28.

Hi First Post - Not sure if this is the right place for this question.
I have purchased one of these AI boxes, but I cant get it to work in my 2023 Isuzu MUX. I plugged it in and it seems to be talking to my head unit but there is no new Icon and nothing on the screen. I tried it in my wife's car, which has a Pioneer head unit and it seemed to worked pretty much straight away.
Has anyone had any luck with a late model Isuzu and one of these AI boxes.
I will try a factory re-set and the headset.

I wondering if the fact I already have wireless Carplay, may be an issue?

Cheers Rory

Hi Rory,

Whilst you may get an appropriate answer on the forum page, these technical questions are best asked on the Help Desk part of Exploroz. David and Michelle are very “tech savvy”, and if they cannot answer your question directly, should be able to point you in the right direction.
