I need to find some space on my system drive on the computer (c:\ ) as it is full. Have found some space by emptying caches, temp etc, but need some more.
ExploreOz traveler is the second-highest space concumer (8.57 GB) after Photoshop (9.29 GB).
I assume because all the maps are stored on the C: drive.
Microsoft indicates that ExplorOz T can be moved but I don't always trust this advice. So my question is, can I safely move the program to the D: drive?
Thanks

Sounds promising. Did you use a fresh install or use the Microsoft move option?

Am I missing something, why not just upgrade your C drive to a larger size?
There is plenty of info on the net on how to upgrade to a bigger drive without needing to re-install everything, just copy to the new larger drive maybe using a SSD.

Can do that, but I am trying to avoid that cost and hassle.

If you are that close to filling the drive, patching it with a bandwidth is not really fixing the problem, it is just hiding it and it will come back some short time in the future.
Hard drives and SSD are very cheap these days, the last drive i bought was 4TB for around $150.00

I might be wrong..
Is it not, that the ExploreOz on the computer is a web based application, so have your web browser is on the D drive as a copy, then this will open up the ExploreOz web based app.
What you will have to do, is sign in again and complete the various steps to authorise the web app..ie update & sync etc..
If you are a full member, all your data that is in the app..your folders etc is kept on the ExploreOz server..so when you update and sync all the data will be there within the web based ExploreOz app.
Note:..I use Apple and their latest OS for their Mac's..so this may be slightly different with Microsoft as they use now a web based OS..but the help desk will put you on the right track regardless.

If you only have one hard drive and it is partioned as two partitions why not just increase the size of partition C: if you have plenty of space left in d:

I have 2 drives. ExplorOz and all the maps are stored on the C:\ drive which I usually keep as a dedicated systems drive. I also have a NAS on a
home LAN so use that for additional storage, backups etc. On the laptop I try to avoid partitioning these days (no real need), windows can handle pretty large drives without the need for partitioning.

I am not a computer expert but seeing you have space on D drive, simply migrate the crap you don't need on C to D and use the D space for non essentials. One minute you ask how and then say you can solve it anyway. Cost is always involved!
