Cameron Corner. 640 acres and an iconic pub, caravan park and
camp ground. Now taking offers.
Will it be saved or will it go down the path of other outback icons and be ruined. :-)

Little story involving
Cameron Corner. :)
I used to work for a large manufacturer of evaporative airconditioners in
Adelaide. In 1997 we did a trip up north that included
Cameron Corner, so just for fun, I took a pile of cooler spare parts and called into several stations plus
Cameron Corner and offered to service their coolers. Water condition means that many have a tough life.
When we offered a service, the first question would always be "How much is it going to cost?"
We told them "Normally we would do this for nothing, but today is Sunday, so it will cost double"
Some parts I did not have with me, so I sent them up (for free) when I got back to work. I never told the boss what it all cost, but later there was a spike in sales of new coolers in the area.
Servicing the Cameron Corner cooler in 1997.
Cheers,
Peter

Well that beats my effort Peter.
All I did was fix the light in the ladies shower room. No, there were no ladies present!!
Fenn gave me free beers for my effort.

Allan,
There are so many unanswered questions your response invokes. I am very conscious that tomorrow is Friday and I wouldn't want to be accused of reinvigorating Friday Funnies.

We stopped in at
Cameron Corner store a few times and it was always… err,…eventful.
One night in particular…. just four of us and Fenn and his mate. Their wives had gone shopping or something.
It turned into quite a night. Such that any questions shall remain unanswered.

Passed that way in 2015. Best memory was the black dog who just wanted you to chuck a stick for him.
And the sign telling us in no uncertain terms not to feed him. No matter how sad he looks.
Cheers
