Track/road conditions - Kintore to Marble Bar

Joanne Krumer lives at Kunawarritji & follows The Canning page on Facebook. She would have a good idea of road conditions on GJ H & Telfer road.

From what I recall, the road is generally Sandy/red gravel through to Kuna, & road surface gets a bit rougher towards Telfer, due to ridges country & maybe sheeted gravel. Think it was bitumen right out to Woodie Woodie-Telfer junction.

It’s a couple of years ago but kunarwarritji to Telfer was a bit of a mixed bag. Nothing too serious. Depends if it’s had some maintenance I guess.

Gets better past Telfer then sealed from to turn off to Marble Bar through the Rippon Hills which is a lovely drive.
